The Municipality of Porto has set an ambitious climate goal: to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Within this context, the Porto Climate Pact was created, alongside the city’s participation in the European Mission for Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities.

The Porto Climate Pact is a holistic initiative led by the Municipality of Porto and managed by Porto Ambiente. Its purpose is to bring together the city’s various stakeholders – public entities, private organisations, and citizens – in a collective effort towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.

More than 250 organisations and hundreds of individual citizens have already signed the Pact, consolidating a shared vision and a united effort to decarbonise the city of Porto.
