An institution of international renown, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) is the largest of the 14 faculties that make up the University of Porto. It hosts nearly 8,000 students, offers 63 courses, and boasts approximately 600 professors and researchers across its nine engineering departments: Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Computer, Industrial and Management, Informatics and Computing, Mechanical, Physics, Metallurgical and Materials, and Mining and Geo-Environment.
FEUP is situated in a dynamic Innovation District, where the strong presence of engineering, health sciences, and entrepreneurship fosters an environment highly conducive to innovation. The district is also home to the University of Porto’s Science and Technology Park (UPTEC), a key structure that supports knowledge transfer between academia and the market.
