TECH4 Sustainability aims to simplify scientific and technological language, making it more accessible to the public while showcasing practical applications in the urban context.
This initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Porto, coordinated by Porto Digital and the Directorate for Carbon Neutrality of Porto – within the scope of the Porto Climate Pact – in partnership with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP).
Overview
TECH4 Sustainability was created to highlight the positive impact of work carried out by academia and technology companies in promoting sustainability in the city and the community. Beyond raising awareness of the urgency of environmental issues, this initiative also aims to encourage active participation in creating a more sustainable future through the sharing of knowledge.
Engagement of municipal, academic, and community entities
Representing a significant step in promoting environmental awareness, disseminating scientific knowledge, and implementing innovative solutions to urban challenges, TECH4 Sustainability positions itself as an initiative that fosters the integration of technological innovations into public policies. It seeks to demonstrate how these solutions can contribute to reducing the ecological footprint and building a greener, more sustainable city.
